My first visit to Rocky was a week-long kickoff meeting for a full-scale overhaul of the park's official map and brochure. Never one to pass up the opportunity for a good backpacking trip—especially being big-mountain starved from living in the Mid-Atlantic—I tacked some time on to my trip and got into the backcountry. 5 days and 60+ solo miles later, the park's beauty had blown me away. 

When a graphic design job (ok, the only graphic design job) opened up at Rocky, I applied. Nearly four years later, my family is still lucky enough to call Rocky and Estes Park home.

While the job can be overwhelming for a team of one, it's rewarding to know that every year millions of in-person and digital visitors use the things I make to plan, enjoy, and share their visit(s) to Rocky. The end result isn't as direct/immediate as outdoor educating/guiding, but the sheer number of people I connect with, indirect though it may be, is humbling.

Publications

I create content for, design, budget, order, and stock all major publications at Rocky, including our offical brochure, seasonal park newspaper/trip planner, trail maps, and informational bulletins.

Signage

I create content for and design 100s of interpretive and informational signs, coordinating budget, printing, installation and upkeep with Rocky's Sign Shop and other park staff.

Web and Social Media

I'm the park's webmaster (1000+ page site with nearly 10 million visits last year) and social media coordinator (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).

Audio/Video Production

Videos? Podcasts? Presentations? Random projects or topics that require a visual component? I do those, too.
